Summer drama

We have a new park here in the hinderlands. Zac and I have already checked out the trials at Northeast park, but we haven't had a chance to go to the pool until today. Quite a nice pool for rural nowheresville, I might add. I caught up with a few high school friends that I had lost touched with, read a bit, soaked up the cancer enducing rays (not really... fully latered up with the fortified SPF 2000) ;)and enjoyed the water with Zac. All was fine until Zac decided he wanted to dive off the diving board into the 10 ft water-fearless and brave as he is. Chicken Little, aka Daddy, wasn't sure this was such a great idea. But Zac the fearless was certain that he could do it. And so he did. And Daddy was so proud.

Then fearless Zac decided he's like to do a summersault. The first time he attempted the dive he did it perfectly. So, with more confidence, he tried again. This time he didn't go out far enough and he bumped his head on the board- scaring bejeezus out of Daddy.

Thank God he was not seriously injured. He has a goose-egg on the back of his head, but no concussion. It's a bit tender, but he is ready to go try again (thank God). So, join me in a prayer of thanksgiving, for Zac's courage, tenacity, and those guardian angels who were looking out for him today.

Each lil'one has a private guardian angel, no doubt. Each parent is granted, obviously, an interdisciplinary team of angels. Kids do remarkable, spontaneously-choreographed physical somersaults; dads and moms do their acrobatic moves on the inside, twisting nerves and guts into tightly-wound coils. Glad to know Zac's doing fine. Hope dad got to unwind today.

I donlt want to be a killjoy but please get that bump checked. Any knock to the head should be checked by a doctor. we had to go our local casualty hospital quite a few times with our 3! Watch out for any headaches, change of mood, etc.

O already been checked... I'm way to anal and protective not to have taken him. I have the pediatrician on speed dial LOL
